Our core commitment is transparency: RefreshRateTest requires no user account registration, no login credentials, and no downloads.

1. Client-Side Diagnostic Execution

All interactive display tests—including the refresh rate (Hz) estimator, FPS stress test, dead pixel inspection patterns, reaction timer, screen tearing bar, and resolution checker—execute entirely inside your web browser client.

Screen dimensions (window.screen), device pixel ratio, and animation frame timestamps are computed locally via HTML5 JavaScript APIs. This diagnostic telemetry is never transmitted to, stored on, or processed by our web servers.

2. Standard Web Server Log Data

Like virtually all websites, our hosting servers automatically record basic technical connection logs when your browser requests web assets. This data may include:

• Internet Protocol (IP) address
• Browser type and version
• Operating system environment
• Referring website and exit pages
• Date and time stamp of each server request

Server log information is used strictly for server maintenance, network security audits, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) prevention, and diagnosing infrastructure errors. Log files are retained for a rolling period of up to 30 days and are never combined with personally identifiable user accounts.

3. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising Partners

RefreshRateTest does not use cookies to track personal identity. However, third-party vendors—including Google—may place cookies, web beacons, or local storage tokens on your browser:

• Google AdSense: Google, as a third-party advertising vendor, uses cookies to serve advertisements based on prior visits to our website or other sites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit history.
• Google Analytics: We may use privacy-configured Google Analytics to understand aggregate audience trends (such as page view counts, general geographic regions, and browser types). IP anonymization is applied where supported.

Because RefreshRateTest does not require user profiles, databases of names, or email signups, we do not hold personal identification profiles. If you contact us via email, your correspondence is maintained solely to resolve your request and is permanently deleted upon resolution.

6. Children's Privacy

RefreshRateTest is a general audience hardware testing utility. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
